Sexy Saffron: Casablanca Saffron Padded Plunge Bikini from Curvy Kate

At the same time Curvy Kate sent me the Atlantis to review, they send me this plunging red Saffron bikini - a fun print, and supportive and boosting style for bigger busts.

The Curvy Kate Casablanca Saffron bikini has such a fun, fresh feel to it. I've always found red to be a really powerful colour for me, and it's just great for swimwear. The print features a Moroccan inspired diamond print in yellow and green on red background. This is a plunge style swim bra, and the cups feature a three part construction, a foam lining and ruching along the bottom edge to which gives the bust a great shape. A reasonably wide strap also lends extra support, as does the band with sturdy yellow clasp to the back.

The Saffron fits perfectly in a size 38F - my usual size in Curvy Kate bras. The gore is flat against my sternum, the band is firm around my back and I comfortably fill the cups. The plunge style is great for a bit of fabulous cleavage, and also cut low enough to be good for tan lines too (not that I really have to worry - with this alabaster skin it's pretty much factor 50 for me). As I've pointed out in previous swimwear reviews, there's a strong difference in my mind between a bikini top and a swim bra. This is a swim bra. It's as supportive as any Curvy Kate bra, but in swimsuit fabric with all the bright fun of a bikini top. 

George from Fuller Figure Fuller Bust helped me play with the styling for this. She brought along this gorgeous leopard print maxi shirt dress from Simply Be, which in this delicate chiffon is actually a perfect beach cover up, and paired with some serious hair flowers and the wonderful starlet bedhead George styled the whole thing is wonderfully hedonistic and screams old Hollywood glamour. I added the watermelon purse because, well, cute! And because whenever I use it I get to say "I carried a watermelon?!" all the time, like Baby from Dirty Dancing. Yup, I'm annoying.
