Lust List: 9 Christmas Party Dresses to Die For

It's party season! Over the next few weeks there will be drinks with friends, Christmas lunches with colleagues, ridiculous parties, and loads of festive events! I love how many excuses there are to dress up this time of year, and if I'm getting fancy there is nothing I love quite as much as a special dress. Here I've done a little round up of some of my fave plus size pieces...

How totally Christmassy is this beauty? Tulle? Check! Lace? Check! Red? Check! It's romantic and dramatic, and perfect, if like me you like to dress up on Christmas day. Little Mistress only came on to my radar this year, and I have to say they really smash it when it comes to affordable ocassionwear. Fabulous and festive!

New Look Velvet Wrap Front Dress - Asos

Come Christmas time I am all about the jewel tones. This deep teal velvet is so rich and sumptuous, and a great alternative to the usual greens and reds. I love a wrap dress, as it looks wonderful on a full bust, and the full sleeves are lovely and dramatic. And at under £30 it's a bargain to boot!

Bardot necklines are huge this season, and the perfect way to show a sexy bit of skin in a demure way. This red velvet number is high end, and perfectly Christmassy in this rich red. The full skirt means that it will also twirl beautifully on the dance floor. Win!

I have recently discovered a wonderful new vintage repro retailer. Joanie's Clothing does wonderful, original designs in fabulous fabrics, and this one is so lush I had to include it in my round up. The emerald green paired with the satin sheen of the fabric makes it perfect for Christmas time, but the gorgeous floral blooms means this could work well into Spring too. I will be reviewing some Joanie's pieces soon, so stay tuned!

At the lower end of the pricing spectrum is this V neck lace skater dress from Boohoo Plus. The sapphire blue would look great just paired with some heels, or you could make it a bit more casual with some leggings and a cardi. Either way, for £20 you can't really go wrong!

Lovedrobe Luxe Embellished Shift Dress - Asos

For those who, like me, like to get fancy for Christmas this art deco inspired Lovedrobe dress is a total winner. All those sequins will look fabulous under the lights, and the shift style is easy to wear. You can keep accessories to a minimum, because this beauty is show stopping enough!

Just look at that luscious, green velvety goodness! Does it get more festive than this beautiful Eva dress from Studio 8? The ruching at the waist is going to look banging on curves, really defining the waist, and the velvet fabric is perfect for a body con dress - smoothing out any lumps and bumps. Dream dress!

If you're looking for a (slightly) more casual vibe for Christmas, or just want something a bit seasonal to wear to the office, this lace midi dress from Evans is fab. A little something special and pretty without being totally over the top, it will be useful well beyond Christmas.

Rachel Doll Dress - Collectif

No lust list of mine would be complete without a little something from Collectif. This Rachel Doll Dress is vintage perfection - a yummy green, off the shoulder for a little bit of sass, and a full skirt for twirling. Yes please!

Have you got your festive frocks all lined up? Any of the above tickle your fancy? Let me know below...
