A Little Lace: New Quiz Clothing Plus Size Collection feat Lace Skater Dress

It's too fabulous to see more of the high street opening up their offering to plus size customers. The most recent to add a plus size collection is Quiz Clothing - launching a Curve range in sizes 18 - 28. It landed in March, modelled by the absolutely delicious Felicity Hayward, and the new collection is fresh, pretty and romantic. So when the team at Quiz asked me if I like to review something for the blog, I decided to opt for this beautiful lace skater dress.

A cream (or white) lace dress is, in my opinion, a spring / summer essential. There is something timeless about the delicate bohemian quality of a lace dress. And it works with a variety of styles. The dress is skater style, meaning it nips in at the waist and flares out over the hips. It's sleeveless - great for warm summer months, or if you are conscious of your arms you can add a light cardigan. The lace is soft and a decent weight. And the hem is edged with lace cut outs, which gives the dress a fairy like property.

The dress is a size 22, which is my standard size, and the fit is pretty bang on. It is well cut for curvy bodies - decent arm holes, and the skirt is cut slightly longer in the back which is great for big booties. Alas, I still find the dress pretty short (and I don't mind a short dress) especially at the sides. It may just that my winter legs are feeling a little sun shy, but I was definitely more comfortable pairing it with leggings.

I wore this outfit for an afternoon in a national trust park near me. I decided to grunge the dress up a bit with the addition of black leggings and my Dr. Martens. My cropped denim jacket from Simply Be (I'm sorry if you don't like denim jackets because I am going to live in mine this season) seemed the perfect blend between the two styles, that brought the whole outfit together. And the final cute finishing touch was my ice cream cross body bag which I recently got from Collectif. How adorable?

Did you know Quiz Clothing had launched a plus size range? Have you tried anything yet? I'd love to know what you thought! Oh and a little shout out to my ever patient photographer, my mum Lucy. What a little star!
