My Month In Outfits: What I Wore in May

Sheesh! May was a busy month. I spend 5 days in France with my family, which was wonderful. I had a host of parties to go to. There were loads of press days in London, previewing Autumn Winter trends (I know, it's weird, summer has barely started). So lots of opportunities to dress up. Check out what I wore in May...

I had a little holiday in May - 5 days in France with my family. We arrived to glorious weather, and so I changed immediately out of my leggings and trainers and into this red shirred maxi from River Island Plus. It's not quite a maxi (well not on me, anyway - I am 5'8) but it's super comfortable and cool - great for hot, sticky weather!

Yellow Vest - Yours Clothing
Cropped Yellow Cardigan - Primark

Another treasure from River Island's summer collection, this skirt is super pretty and floaty. I wore this for a day of champagne tasting (IKR, luxury bitch!) in Epernay. It's so comfy and easy to wear, plus the floral and frills are on trend for SS.

Navy Blue Crochet Cardi - Evans (previous season)

We also spent a wonderful day in Giverny. Giverny is a small town where Monet kept his home and beautiful gardens. It was here he painted his waterlilies, and as a long time admirer of these beautiful works, it was so enchanting to visit. I wore my very favourite dress at the moment, the Thea from Studio 8.

White Shirt with Rose Embroidery - Boohoo Plus (sold out)
Black Leggings - Primark

For super comfy travel vibes to get home to London, I wore leggings, an oversized shirt from Boohoo last season, and my trainers.

Black Suedette Wedges - Primark

I spent a wonderful day with Studio 8 and other gorgeous blogger babes at Ascot. You can read my full account of the day here.

Darling Wide Fit Trainers - ASOS (similar here)

I love this cold shoulder top from River Island Plus. This is such a great casual look, perfect for our unpredictable weather in London. Read my review here

My Lyra dresses are still some of my very favourite in my wardrobe. I wore this one to George's (from Fuller Figure Fuller Bust) birthday party. I finally got to meet the lovely Rosie from Rosie Red Corsetery who was just as much of a babe as I thought she would be. And, totally unplanned, we were dressed as twinnies, which amused everyone no end.

Mat Dress in Turquoise and Orange - Navabi (sold out)
Navy Blue Flats with Gold Band - M&Co (sold out)

I wore this outfit to an afternoon of AW press previews, and got so many compliments on my dress. I love the peasant vibes and blouson sleeves. Sadly this dress is now sold out, but I hope to see more of the same from Mat at Navabi in the future.

I have long loved the gorgeous creations of Crown & Glory, and so was super excited to have a beautiful bespoke crown made for me at their pop up in House of Fraser over the bank holiday weekend. The pop up was only there for a few days, but you can order your own crown via their website. I always love anything sparkly and this summer I am all about face glitter. This pink glitter is from Dust and Dance, and I love it. Using their glue, I had it on my face all afternoon and no adverse reactions. Yes!

City Chic lack Maxi Dress - Evans (sold out)

Come summer I am always a sucker for a maxi dress - they are cool and elegant and easy to wear. This City Chic is one I first wore in the Caribbean on my holiday last year, and I think it's going to get a lot more wear this summer. I am also totally in love with my straw beach bag from Simply Be. It's super seasonal, and enormous - so great for piling everything into.

I'm not going to say too much about the Ursula, as I have a post about it coming up soon. But this is my first one, and I love it! (Wearing size 22/24 and it's a comfy fit)

This dress packs so many summer trends into one piece - Gingham, a bardot neckline, embroidery! It's really just a simple cotton shift, and so is really cool in hot weather and easy to wear. Plus it's an instant on trend update for your summer wardrobe, and it won't break the bank.

So, that's what I wore in May. Feels like summer is finally here and I am loving getting into my bright, happy wardrobe! What have you been wearing? What's your favourite look? Let me know...
