What I've Been Wearing Lately: January and February 2018

After like six weeks in pyjamas, I am really enjoying dressing up. Whoop whoop! It's fun getting back into fashion again, and exploring and being creative.

Black Jersey Tube Dress - ASOS (similar here)
Black Suede Ankle Boots - Evans (similar here)
Clemens Ribeiro Swan Belt - Evans (previous seasons)

This dress fulfills all of my baby girl fantasy. I adore it! It's from Monki, a fan favourite among plus size bloggers. They are a straight sized brand but their items are frequently oversized which means they work for plus size - yay! Herre I am wearing a size L and I am a 22, but could definitely have fitted into a size M. Lucky for you there are still Mediums available on ASOS, so quick! Go get them before they're sold out. I wore it over a pair of black leggings (winter killing my bare leg vibes) and a black tube dress, and felt super cute at an Urban Decay event I went to, and later the launch of Bethany Rutter's book, Plus+. I got loads of compliments and I love how my style is evolving to the point where this feels like a very Hayley outfit.

Pink Teddy Fur Coat - Simply Be (sold out)
Embroidered Ankle Boots - Evans (sold out)

This little combo was what I wore for my first trip out of the house after 6 weeks of feeling like absolute shit. And it filled me with fierce fashion vibes, while still being super comfy. This coat is the cutest, but alas is sold out. But anything that gives me candyfloss sheep realness is a YES!

Sparkle courtesy of From Nic Love

I went for a cute baby girl look for London Edge. It was all floofy and girly and I felt like a little treat!

I am living for the colour combination of this teal sparkle necklace with the lilac statement sleeve jumper. I loathe casual dressing - I always feel shlumpy. But I wore this with jeans - it's mega comfy and casual, and still looks good. This jumper has the BEST sleeves. And I am obsessed with this necklace from Frilly Industries. It's unusal, and the best colour, and I also have it in Pink! And the lovely ladies of Frilly Industries, who make them, are totally worth supporting. (If they don't have it on their Etsy shop currently, then just drop them a DM and I am sure they can sort you out!)

A few weeks ago the lovely lot at Urban Decay sent me the Kaleidoscope Palette from their collaboration with Kristen Leanne, and I am LIVING the colours in this beauty. I am having so much fun experimenting with colourful shadow, for the first time in forever, and I am going to bring you a little review and a few of the looks I have created with this palette soon.

This dress is just the cutest. Covered in little deers, flowers, bunnies and fauna, it is a skater tea dress that's true to size (I'm wearing a 22) and has wonderful statement sleeves. So cute!

Black Wedge Ankle Strap Shoes - Clarks (previous season)

This whole look is so 'Leader of the Pack Vroooom Vroooom Vrooom'. Check out my full post here

Red Velvet Midi Skirt - M&S (no longer available)
Union Jack Sequined Clutch (no longer available)

I am living in this London sweatshirt from Simple Be at the moment, and I loved dressing it up with this velvet skirt, and adding my embellished Union Jack purse (an oldie from Accessorize) - I love a casual / fancy combo. And sequins and velvet with a jumper is such a fun juxtaposition.

When it's cold I live in my parka from Studio 8  - it's waterproof, has a wonderfully fur trimmed hood, is padded and thanks to the drawstring, gives great shape. Honestly, this is a great investment buy. Mine is dark forest green with a gorgeous blonde fur trim. Alas it's sold out, but they do still have this beauty in navy blue with a black fur trim, and it's just as lovely.

Black Suedette Boots - Evans (similar here)

I am living for colour blocking at the moment. But I've already said a whole bunch of stuff about this look puddings, which you can read here.

So that's what I've been wearing lately. I love the layering of winter, but I am kinda ready to start playing with Spring fashion. What's your favourite look? What have you been wearing lately? Let me know...
