Getting Meshy: Lovedrobe Embroidered Mesh Dress

After all the glitz ang colour of the festive season I often find myself returning to black in January. I've always loved some black in my wardrobe, and I find it easy to wear with my colouring. Plus it's the month of lazing and lounging (well for me it is anyway) so comfort in dressing is a must. I recently chose this Black Embroidered Mesh dress from Lovedrobe because I love the dobby mesh overlay combined with the embroidery, and because it's super comfy over a pair of leggings with some ankle boots, but it still looks like you made an effort - my favourite kind of dressing!

As always with Lovedrobe, I sized up. I am wearing a size 26 here (I usually wear a 22/24)  and I think the fit is just right. I love the sheer sleeves - giving me coverage, but the stretch means theyre not tight or uncomfortable. I also love the sheer fabric because it just gives the whole look a floaty feel, that I adore - you know I love me some netting and tulle! The dress hits me about mid thigh (I'm 5'8) so I would definitely always be wearing this baby with leggings or heavy tights.

Here I paired it with a sensational red velvet bag, and some embroidered boots that echo the embroidery on the dress itself. I love that it's an easy to wear, super comfy outfit that's versatile - I wore it over to see my little nephew and was comfy playing with him on the floor, and then later went to dinner. Yes!

What are you wearing this Jaunuary?

** While this post is sponsored and the items were gifted by Lovedrobe, the opinions, as always, remain my own.**

  1. Wouldn't love that Club Monaco gown longer. The lovely vibrant color and ruffled sleeve, the sophisticated midi-length, and also the fun material! Elegant and joyous. I question whether she tailored it at all to be not this type of profound v neck, though?
