What I've been wearing lately: March and April 2018

In the last two months we have pretty much experienced every season. We even got a mini blast of summer here in London a few weeks ago. So I have had every find of outfit - from fur trimmed coats, to sleeveless dresses with sandals. Madness. I have also started working full time again, and found some lovely new colleagues who don't make me feel massively awkward and weird about asking them to take pictures of what I am wearing every day! So there is a lot more #ootd happening over on instagram now, so make sure you are following me to see all my looks. I think I say this often, but I still love doing these posts because it shows what I am wearing on a daily basis. And while when I pick the pictures to go in it I tend to try and showcase new stuff, you can see what I am wearing most often (lived in my faux leather jacket and my leopard pumps this month), and what gets rotated back into my wardrobe a lot. Enjoy!

Black Bow Headband - Etsy
Leopard Print Pumps - ASOS (similar here)

Wore this to an Elomi event (they make my favourite bras for plus size big busted ladies!) and felt cute and sexy - my fave aesthetic combo!

I am living in this leather jacket at the moment (as you'll see). From Marks and Spencer - it's perfectly cut and has a stretch panel built in which means it really contours to your shape perfectly. I sized down because I wanted a snug fit.

Black Tulle Skirt - ASOS (sold out, see similar in above outfit)
Embroidered Boots - Evans (sold out)

This was my look for taking my mum out for Mother's Day lunch and a wander around the Science Museum (yes we are geeky!). I loved matching the boots with my embroidered sweatshirt from Simply Be, and leaving the rest black. And I'm wearing another tulle skirt, because girl loves herself a tulle skirt! It's one of those novelty items for me - they never used to make me in plus size, so I still get excited whenever I see one!

Basically the only reason I am glad the winter went on much longer than usual this year is this coat. It's a luxurious, pink dream!

Black Lace Prom Dress - River Island (similar in red)
Wide Fit Leopard Print Pumps - ASOS (similar here)

This black lace dress was from the very first season of River Island's plus range, and I still think it's one of the best things they've ever done. So I was THRILLED when I saw they have a very similar style in red this season. Snap it up before they're gone! I wore this with my new fave feathered earrings for a day when I had to go from work in the day to a burlesque show in the evening, and I think it worked pretty well.

This oversized top from Navabi is everything. It looks way pricier than it actually is, it's a total bold statement, and most excitingly - it's comfy AF. Yassss!

Embroidered Boots - Evans (sold out)

I love me a short dress, but I think maybe its not something that a lot of plus women like, so I don't see them as often as I would like. This one is perfect - cute colour, amazing design, and short length. Love it. Plus they have it in green too, so I might have to invest in another.

Here I am again in my fave jacket. This time paired with this floaty floral maxi, to give it a little more edge. I love City Chic maxi dresses, and at the moment they are on sale, so check them out at the link above.

The lovely lot at French plus size site Lili La Tigresse contacted me a little while ago, and offered to send me some pieces. When I saw this dress my heart soared. I was a boho chick for a long time, and this peasant style dress, along with the colour and full skirt really appealed to me. I wanted to save it for something special so wore it for dinner with my family on my birthday, and I felt super pretty.

Jelly Shoes - Crocs (yes, seriously, but they're long sold out)

Y'all know I love a Dolores Doll, and this beautiful tropical pattern was absolutely perfect for the crazy sudden summer we had mid April. It has toucans and lovebirds on it - enough said!

The seldom spotted dress down Hayley... This is what I wore for my little road trip with George (of Fuller Figure Fuller Bust) to Sugnall Hall for a weekend of photoshoots. The Chloe jeans are so soft and stretchy it's pretty close to wearing leggings, so they're great for a car journey, and the tee is comfy yet faaaaabulous. My fave combo!

Lace up Boots - Topshop (old AF, sorry)

I need to take another picture of this dress where I am not covering up the sleeves, because they are epic! But this is another shorter dress I am really happy to have added to my collection. It's really pretty, but really easy to wear and perfect for work.

Oh hi summer! This was me just a few short weeks ago, loving the sudden burst of hot weather. Look at that blue sky! Loving this lemon yellow Lovedrobe dress - it's super pretty and summery. A quick tip though, maybe size down, as I found it very roomy.

Inc Velvet Jacket - Macy's (black still available)

I love adding a bit of whimsy to my outfits, for all occassions. This pixie skirt does just that, and damn do I love a bit of tulle. I paired it with these darling (and comfy) ballet pumps and a jacket I have been waiting ages to wear - it's from Macy's in the states and my sister in law was kind enough to bring it back from me on a recent visit, but it's absolutely gorgeous and I think well worth the import duty if you fancy it!

Leopard Print Shirt - ASOS (sold out)
Wide Fit Leopard Print Pumps - ASOS (similar here)

Sadly this amazing shirt is sold out - I love its Peg Bundy / Tiki Vegas vibes! But the black circle skirt is not, and it's amazingly full and made with a great fabric of perfect weight. I think it's going to be a very useful item for years to come.

Gorgeously Gothic Lyra Dress - Lady V London (shop other Lyras here)
Wide Fit Leopard Print Pumps - ASOS (similar here)

It's rare I get through one of these posts without a Lyra appearing. Here's me in one of my fave prints. But Lady V always have amazing new stock coming in and they do gorgeous florals for summer so go check them out...

That's it darlings! What have you been wearing lately? Let me know...
