My Month in Outfits: What I Wore In November

November was a bit of an odd month. I spent a good chunk of it on holiday in the Caribbean (which was amazing! See what I wore here) and then returned to a pretty chilly London, and by the end of the month I was ready to get festive! Check out what I wore (and my Christmas tree!) below...

I find my Lyra dresses perfect for most activities. I have a ridiculous number of them, and whenever I am having one of those days when I don't know what to wear, I throw one on and it's suitable for pretty much any occasion and I always feel fab. Lately I've been popping along to a local pub on Sunday evenings to hear a friend who plays there. Lyra has been my go to. Comfy, cool, and great for twirly dancing.

Another Sunday, another Lyra. Along with my solution to America's election woes. Stevie for President!

Boohoo have become my go to for reasonably priced plus size fashion. When I want to try something new, that's not my usual look, I am always loath to spend a fortune on it in case it's just not really me. I am the same with seasonal wardrobe updates - some things you adore now, but you just know they aren't going to last forever. That's where fast fashion comes into its own. It allows you choice and experimentation without the hefty price tag. The picture above just does not do the quilted velvet bomber justice - it is super luxurious, warm and thick. The blue is a wonderfully rich jewel tone, and the velvet is plush. Not bad for £40. Not bad at all!

This time of year I think we all want to splash out on something sparkly and fun for the parties and nights out that stud the December social calendar. But with limited budgets dresses like this sparkly blue number from Boohoo are fantastic. Perfect worn as a little party frock, or over leggings as a tunic. I wore mine with some statement red velvet platforms from Evans, which make my pins look killer and contrast perfectly with the blue.

In late November I spent a wonderful evening at Somerset House ice skating with the team from Curvissa. I was thrilled because the earlier I can get started with Christmas, the better! The ice skating was pretty wobbly! I have ridiculously weak ankles (they are way to slender for my large body!) so my skating was tentative, but I whizzed around a few times without holding on. Yay me! Curvissa sent me this great tunic to wear on the evening, and I'm a big fan. Perfect over leggings, I love the sheer dobby sleeves and seed button detailing the front. As you can imagine, it was pretty damn nippy so I popped on my new coat from Evans. This faux fur leopard print coat is super snuggly, super glam and is currently my favourite thing in my wardrobe

I usually try to hold out until the first of December to put my tree up, but this year we went a little early (29 November) because my flatmates and I needed a day we were all home. And as we were getting in the festive spirit, I broke out my first (and cheekiest) Christmas jumper of the season. How cute? Eeek! I am have now Christmassed out to the max, and am wearing something festive virtually every day because I'm a ridiculous human being. And in case you care, I've taken pics of a couple of my fave ornaments and stuck them below. I love to collect them from places I go, or get them from people I love. It makes decorating the tree so much more fun. Christmas DORK!

This buxom bauble was bought for me by my sister-in-law at a German Christmas Market and is by far my fave thing on the tree.

I picked up this skeleton pirate Santa in St Lucia on my holiday, and it's too tacky and brilliant. Just what Christmas is all about!

So, are you feeling in the spirit? What have you been wearing as it's gotten colder? Have you got a fave Christmas jumper? Let me know lovelies...

  5. Quite an attractive woman to have such a popular blog, as most just post pics to gain likes by looks, not words. You seem to get professional writing help because it's impossible to find beauty and brains together. This changes with you I think.
