There are some dress styles which have become staples in my wardrobe. I revisit them almost religiously when looking to satisfy my shopping urge. Usually I am drawn to styles that work for a variety of occasions and come in a plethora of prints and patters so that even though I own the dress in multiples, it always feels fresh when I wear it. Lyra from Lady Voluptuous is one of these favourites.

Recently the team at Evans asked me to style up an outfit to wear to a summer wedding. I decided to opt for something a little different from my usual 50s style floral numbers, and instead went with this sophisticated black shift that can be styled for a number of occasions.

I've got some super exciting news! I am going to be collaborating with one of my favourite brands - Studio 8 London - to help showcase their gorgeous Spring/Summer collection. They have so many great pieces, and really are doing wonderful things for the higher end plus size market. I particularly adore their styles for events and special occasions, but they're also great at work and leisure wear. The first piece I'm reviewing is the gorgeous Jenson dress, with its nod to this season's nautical theme.

This is my second post on the joy of Lovedrobe work wear, and I stick by what I said before. Lovedrobe are making comfortable, wearable and attractive work wear, and by adding my own accessory style I feel happy taking them from the office to cocktails.

I am a bit of a beauty addict. Actually I'm a super duper beauty addict. I think I always had this tendency, and then when I was 18 I spent a year working behind the beauty counters in Selfridges and it turned an interest into a full blown obsession. I have always loved makeup - putting it on makes me feel more like myself. Not like a mask, more like an expression of who I am. I also love pampering and looking after my hair and nails. Personal grooming takes up a lot of my time, and while I may occasionally have a bit of a whinge I do enjoy doing it. I find it meditative, and a form of self care important for my mental health.

So with this love, and more than a little bit of knowledge I thought I would write my first post - about some of the best products I've come across lately from hair to nails to skincare...
