This season is all about the statement sleeves, and Pink Clove have taken this LBD and really vamped it up with these awesome mesh bell sleeves. I added some statement boots from Evans and a colourful clutch, and I am loving this easy to wear Autumn look!
Pink Clove recently got in touch, asking me if I wanted to try something from their website. I haven't actually shopped with Pink Clove in a while, and the last time they gifted me things the fit was not very good so I was a bit put off. But this Bardot dress fits perfectly! I ordered it in my usual size 24 and the A line fit is great. It hits me just above my knees (I'm 5'8). The Bardot neckline doesn't sit quite as low on my shoulders as I would like, but I think that's more to do with me having broad shoulders than an issue with the cut. The sleeves are fabulously floaty, and the whole dress has a hint of sixties mod to it - which I love. In fact when I shared a sneak peek of this look on instagram someone commented "you're a 60s horror movie heroine" which is pretty much the highest praise! The whole dress also feels a little witchy - like something out of American Horror Story: Coven, and I am totally living for that look.
This may be a little black dress, but it's a strong look. So I wanted to stong accessories to add some pops of colour. I am absolutely, head-over-heels in love with these embroidered boots from Evans! The lovely Evans team sent me an email a few weeks ago, asking if I would like to add some of their statement boots to my wardrobe (UM, YES!) and offered me a choice between some lovely, more subtle black embroidered boots or these colourful babies. Both are gorgeous, and both are wide fit - whoop whoop! But I had to opt for the colourful pair. They go with EVERYTHING! And they get comments everywhere I go - some fabulously dressed man in Mac came up to me the other day and asked where my boots were from, and nearly kissed me when I said they were from Evans and available in wide fit! So yes, these are the boots of the season - but hurry up! They are selling super fast!
I finished off my look some statement bejwelled earrings, and a hot pink, oriental inspired clutch from Simply Be. Simply Be have done this clutch in lots of different fabrics, colours and patterns and they are all totally covetable, but I love the way the pink clashes with my orange hair.
What do you think of my witchy inspired look? Do you have a favourite LBD? Have you taken the plunge and opted for some statement boots this season? Let me know...
